At eight o’ clock sharp Four Tet went on stage. A strong introduction with Angel Echoes. A smooth voice singing There’s Love In You. It’s electric, yet very authentic – like a wide landscape. Wich strengthens by the evening sun that shines through the tree tops and makes the outdoor theatre stage bathe in golden light. Four Tet is magic. He creates music that, even though it is so smooth and chill, everyone just has to dance. From the intro with Angel Echoes he smoothly tears down the sound and then builds it up again, but this time as Ringer. His later development, with album There’s Love In You, interweaves with his earlier work in a beyond doubt way.
There’s not much of a scene show, he stands very calmly behind his computers and midi controllers. Sometimes almost like he’s hiding from the audience that just want to dance. The music do really speak for itself, but he was worth more audience and a later gig time.
