Tomorrow TAjT will hit the road going west to Arvika, a small town with with out doubt one of Sweden’s finest festivals for electronic dance music, also conveniently called Arvika or Arvikafestivalen. As maybe not all of you will be there in person we will do our best to cover it here at the site.

The TAjT Club
TAjT won’t only be writing and taking pictures during the festival. We will play some briliant disco tunes as well. Saturday 17th 23:30 – 02:00 at Lyran is the time and place where you should be if you want to dance your ass off. We have disco phenomenon Louis La Roche with us! It’s gonna be huge!

Simian Mobile Disco [Live]
With last years massive new studio album Temporary Pleasure and the following EP Extra Temporary Pleasure Simian Mobile Disco is once again hot hot hot. With new club night project Delicatessen with releases like Aspic they sure don’t turn the heat down. Performing live at Arvika this will be huge…audacity of huge!

Wareika [Live]
German afro-beat/house act Wareika is a true gem which you shouldn’t miss if you like extra ordinary electronic dance music. The music is organic, largely performed with live instruments. Resident Advisor called their music ”Danceable techno-not-techno played at techno speeds.” Well, don’t miss out!

Louis La Roche [Dj]
Since the release of The Peach EP Louis La Roche has brought some incredible, danceable and funky house into the music scene. Listening to his music and live shows you will experience some 90’s nostalgia, mixed togheter with 70’s disco and funk vibes and blended right into a great 2010 club track. It’s old yet new, It’s rough yet soulfull, It’s smooth yet you want to dance like crazy. This is the guy who people compaired with Thomas Bangalter, do we need to say more?

Robyn
Maybe the biggest star on the festival, Robyn is an artist you just don’t want to miss. Body Talk Pt. 1 is probably one of the best albums this year and people are going Robyn-maniacs all over the world. She would easily fill the space in front of the largest stage, Vintergatan. Now performing at the more intimate Apollo tent it’s gonna be one sweatty concert. Be on time, bring lot’s of water, it’s going to be crowded!

Chromeo
Since their break through with Fancy Footwork Canadian duo Chromeo has ruled the electrofunk scene. Playing on festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury it’s unfortunately rare to see artist as Chromeo on a Swedish festival stage. But, let’s not go bitter here. This summer we all have the chance to show that ”dancing is a way to go”.

Ellen Allien [Dj]
Multi-talented, multi-tasking German artist, producer, fashionista and label boss Ellen Allien is techno at it’s best. With new material from new album Dust Ellen Allien is going out to big festivals with all the soul, energy and power that she’s know for. On July 15th she’ll be stopping by Arvika. Go into the dark beating heart of Orion and experience true techno.

Pssst! If you still want to be at Arvika in person there are tickets left. July 15th – 17th, camping are opens on Tuesday.
