No one could have missed that Gomma’s Mathias Modica aka Munk released his new album last Friday. The Mondo Vagabondo EP made a vow of what to come and I’m overwhelmed by the result. The bird and the beat is an enigmatic odyssey of influences. It begins and ends with house with excursions to among others italo pop, french chanson and eurodisco. My favourites except the great singles/videos below are Tipsy and Kitchen Call. Tipsy really IS a bubbly, tipsy laughter on a hot summer’s day. Kitchen Call contains of classic, funky locomotive vocals.
It seems like Gomma has locked the Soundcloud files to be shared, so buy the album instead. Or listen at Spotify. We also hope to be able to publish the whole list of vocalists asap.
